Goals rained in at a chilly Badgers as Kevin Watson’s Millers went nap for the first time in Step 4 football.
Poor as the visitors were, they still need to be dispatched, and a Millers side showing the commitment and intensity so obvious in their last outing against Ashford United romped to victory.
Leading at the break courtesy of a deflected Denzel Gayle effort and an own goal from Vickers defender Temi Eweka, deflecting Ryan Flack’s shot into the opposite corner, a brace from Gavin Tomlin and an Ashley Sains header put the gloss on a home victory that lifts Cray Valley PM back to 4th position in the table.
As on Saturday, it was hard to pick out any one player for particular praise, but with Paul Semakula beginning to look like the linchpin in the midfield he was last season, alongside “Mr Consistency” Matt Warren, an exciting February looms in Eltham.
