BABALOLA SHINES AS MILLERS DEBUTANTS HIT THE HOT SPOT
CRAY VALLEY EXTENDED THEIR RECENT WINNING RUN TO 7 GAMES after this goalfest at Badgers.
Lowly visitors Ramsgate took a shock 10th minute lead as Ashley Miller pounced following a Liam Hickey block in the area, to fire past Andy Walker from close range.
Much as the home side dominated posession and territory, they were thwarted by a hard working Rams side closing down any space created - until the 41st minute when debutant Lee Noble fired a low drive across keeper Charlie Burns into the far corner following excellent work by Ryan Flack.
Parity restored at the interval, The Millers went on to take the lead in the 53rd minute as Flack's outswinging corner was powerfully headed home by Liam Hickey.
Rams substitute Henry Arnold forced an excellent stop from Walker minutes later, as his rasping drive from the edge of the area was powerfully pushed away for a throw.
Then Noble's fellow debutant Nat Blanks entered the fray - his left wing cross being headed past Burns by Francis Babalola in the 59th minute.
Not to be outdone, excellent play by Rams striker Jude Arthurs saw him find Arnold whose shot beat Walker to pull the score back to 3-2.
Babalola then turned provider in the 77th minute as he combined well with Denzel Gayle to find Hassan Ibrahiym 8 yards out. The Millers midfielder scored his 2nd goal for the Club from 8 yards.
The game's most memorable move came 6 minutes later, as the same players supplied Flack in the box to strike a fine first time finish past Burns.
Mitchell Chapman had the final say for Ramsgate, beating Walker to bring the final score to 5-3.
Millers ;- Walker, Semakula, Hickey, Tumkaya, Babalola, Tomlin (Gayle 66), Flack, Noble (James 80), Morath-Gibbs, Blanks, Ibrahiym (Hysi 80)
