RYAN KING-ELLIOT MADE THE KIND OF IMPACT Manager Kevin Watson would have dreamed of when he came on for his home debut in this high scorimg encounter.
Replacing the injured Denzel Gayle on the hour mark, the Millers latest recruit had time to pick up a yellow card before bursting into life deep into the game - providing an assist followed by a breathtaking winning goal in the last 5 minutes.
But first, let's rewind to the 15th minute when The Oystermen's wideman John Ufuah broke onto a ball through the Millers reargard to open the scoring low to keeper Andy Walker's right as the defence looked on in vain for an offside flag.
As if stung into life, the in-form hosts pressed forward and brought parity 8 minutes later as Gavin Tomlin fed Matthew Warren in the 18 yard box, the midfielder finishing low into the far corner of keeper Dan Eason's net.
Moments later, the dangerous Ufuah broke down the left and, with the Millers defence static, passed inside for Tijan Jadama to restore the visitors' lead.
As Valley dominated posession, Whitstable continued to look dangerous on the counter attack as the game ebbed and flowed.
Deep into first half injury time, Ryan Flack's right wing corner was headed home by Warren to equalise for the hosts.
As the teams left the field, referee Jonathan Creswick dismissed a member of the Whitstable management team for "foul and abusive language " as they protested about the length of stoppage time added.
The second half started with the Millers dominating proceedings despite losing Denzel Gayle and Danny Smith through injury.
Then, in the 72nd minute, a long clearance from Eason was headed on for the Oystermen's striker Aaron Millbank to outpace the home defence before firing past Walker.
As a third injury blow hit the Millers - youngster Lewis Cotter replacing the stricken Cem Tumkaya - the hosts searched in vain to get something from the game.
Until, that is, King-Elliot announced his arrival.
In the 87th minute, good work by Cotter saw him find King-Elliot on the left.
The ex-Crystal Palace youngster's powerful drive was saved by Eason - Gavin Tomlin following up to convert.
Then, deep into stoppage time, King- Elliot applied the "coup de gras", rifling an unstoppable shop beyond Eason into the top corner of the net.
