A DEFIANT DEFENSIVE DISPLAY saw The Canons leave Badgers with a hard earned point against league leaders Cray Valley PM.
Trailing through Kaka Dembele’s low 12th minute strike, The Millers struck back with Warren Mfula’s 3rd goal in 3 games as the hot-shot hitman seized on Kevin Lisbie’s flick from Danny Smith’s corner in the 25th minute.
As the game simmered below the surface, the home side had the better of the latter stages of the first half without finding the killer pass.
As the second half got under way in similar vain, the visitors doggedness and resilience threatened to boil over at times – the home side continuing to pile on the pressure.
Hythe keeper Will Godman made several fine saves and was aided by two goaline clearances in stoppage time as the Millers front line of Mfula, Lisbie and Denzil Gayle all went close.
MAN OF THE MATCH – WILL GODMAN
