Millers showed their liking for the late summer Kent coast sunshine, with their second seaside success of the season.
Goals from Cem Tumkaya, Danny Smith and Manny Oloyede sent the newcomers storming to the top of the fledgling League table.
A crowd of 281 witnessed a tight opening to the game, until a late challenge from Bay striker Mobolaji Dowadu saw Millers centre back Liam Hickey sustain a nasty looking ankle injury. Josh James replaced Hickey, resulting in a change to the Millers formation.
Settling into the revised shape as half time approached, pressure increased on the Herne Bay goal until Millers were awarded a 44th minute free kick wide to the right of the 18 yard box for a foul on the hard working Francis Babalola.
Anthony Edgar's far post cross was headed home by Tumkaya, who received a blow to his head for his efforts.
The spoils were settled within 5 minutes of the restart as Smith rifled home a 46th minute free kick and Oloyede stabbed home Babalola's 50th minute cross from the bye-line.
With the points seemingly secure, Millers visibly relaxed and started producing the type of stylish performance we witnessed last season.
Further chances came and went without further goals as The Millers unbeaten League run rolled on
