As the sweltering Bank Holiday weekend continued, The Millers secured their second consecutive League clean sheet at Badgers as they took the spoils in this hard fought encounter.
Despite both sides playing in 30°+ conditions for the second time in 48 hours, the sunbaked attendance of 115 witnessed an entertaining game, albeit neither side created many clear cut chances.
After an end to end start to affairs, Millers threatened on 21 minutes when a superb run from Denzil Gayle saw Ryan Flack's shot cleared off the line, before Danny Smith's follow up shot was blocked.
Smith then struck the crossbar in the 32nd minute after beating the Sevenoaks keeper with a 20 yard free kick.
The visitors went close on the hour mark when Millers' custodian Andy Walker made an excellent save, pushing a fierce shot over for a corner.
Sevenoaks then had a spell of sustained posession without really troubling the goal, before the deadlock was broken in the 82nd minute.
Denzel Gayle's low drive across the visitor's 18 yard box was turned in at the far post by Oaks' right back Harry Kingdon to put the home side in front.
Spurred on by this, Millers pressed forward and Cem Tumkaya saw a fine strike hit the right frame of the goal.
The game was largely played out in the visitors half as The Millers maintained their unbeaten start to the league season.
