The Hamlet managed by former Maidstone United boss Hakan Hayrettin currently sit in 15th place on 26 points from 20 games, just four points off the 5th play off place, such is how close the league table currently is. They will probably be the first to admit they have lacked consistency this season but a side more than capable of beating anyone on their day. Their last two games have both ended in a 2-2 draw against Lewes and Dartford. Top goalscorer is Luke Wanadio on 16 (all but one in the league) followed by Danny Mills on 8. One familiar face likely to be in the squad to face us is Hassan Ibrahiym who signed for the Hamlet at the beginning of November making 8 appearances to date.
The Hamlet regularly attract crowds between two and three thousand at Champion Hill, purchasing advance tickets is recommended, it promises to be compelling, hope to see you there!
Previous Meetings:
The two clubs have never met in the league however they did meet at the Artic Stadium in the Semi-Final of the London Senior Cup season 2016/17. Cray Valley (PM) winning 3-2 after extra time, see details below and going on to be the lowest ranked side at the time (step 5) to win the competition. They beat Metropolitan Police 2-1 in the final played at Champion Hill, home of Dulwich Hamlet FC.
The two sides have also met in pre-season friendlies at the Artic Stadium in 2017 and more recently August 2023 shortly after Steve McKimm took over. The game ended 3-2 to the visitors, see link.
