The Millers gallantly held on to their unbeaten league record after playing the last half hour plus added time of the second half with 10 men. After dominating the first half they took a deserved lead when Matt Vigor scored in the 23rd minute before the sending off of Kiki Oshilaja handed the initiative to the league leaders.

Cray took the lead when Vigor seized on a poor back pass from Joe Ellul before cooly chipping the advancing Tom Hadler in the Rams goal. The Millers were very much in the ascendancy and in the 36th minute Vigor had the ball in the net again following Kyrell Lisbie's pass but the assistants flag was raised for offside against the latter.

Early in the second half twice Lisbie broke and squared the ball into the path of Vigor but his attempts to place the ball were thrawted both times. His first effort was blocked and on the second he forced the visitors keeper Tom Hadler to make a fine save. Hadler was subsequently made the Rams player of the match.

However, the games key moment came on the hour when Oshilaja’s saw red for two yellow card offences, the first in the 36th minute for a foul on Jordan Green and the second for a foul on Joe Taylor. The Rams pushed for an equalizer as the momentum of the game changed and after a period of intense pressure, centre back Ellul atoned for his earlier error when he prodded the ball home from close range following a great save from home keeper Max Ovenden. The Millers though held on for a deserved point as honours were shared.
