The Millers didn’t let their forthcoming FA cup replay against Charlton Athletic affect their League ambitions as they eased to a convincing victory against their local neighbours. The visitors were resolute in the first half and Cray were thwarted by a series of fine saves by Deres keeper Jordan Perrin as both Freddie Parker and Kyrell Lisbie went close. The deadlock was finally broken just before the interval, following a good build Hassan Ibrahiym found winger Denzel Gayle’s whose low cross was converted by striker Parker in the 39th minute.

Gayle was a constant threat as the home side continue to dominate the play after the break. Lisbie doubled the lead from another of Gayle’s pinpoint crosses and shortly after Lisbie completed his brace with another shot from close range. It wasn't until the 64th minute, such was the Millers dominance that keeper Sam Freeman was called into action diving low onto a low cross to collect the ball. In what has been a unique season so far dominated by progress in the two major cup competitions this was in fact the Millers first home league win of the season.
