Bottom of the table Faversham Town make the trip to SE9 on Tuesday amidst a period of considerable change at Salters Lane.
After ex Valley boss James Collins left to join Bowers and Pitsea in June, former Herne Bay managerial duo John Embery and Jermaine Darlington were appointed, only to find themselves surplus to requirements early last month with the Lilywhites second from bottom with only one league win.
Enter former Canterbury City and Erith Town supremo Simon Austin to steady the ship and get the compass pointing in a northerly direction.
To this end, Austin has brought in more than a dozen new recruits in his first six weeks in the job – including former Millers Matt Parsons, Kieron McCann and Harrison Carnegie.
Fortunes haven’t exactly improved however as Saturday’s five goal drubbing at VCD Athletic on Saturday sees the club with just seven points from their 13 league games and the divisions worst defensive record, despite naming eleven of Austin’s signings in the squad.
Valley hope to have Dan Bennett available after the striker took a whack on Saturday. Recent loanee Finn O’Mara will be available to return after serving a suspension for his dismissal against Three Bridges.
