Tonight’s match if level at 90 minutes will be decided on penalties.

After an absence of two seasons Cray Valley (PM) have taken the decision to re-enter the Velocity Cup (Clubs are given the choice whether to opt in or out). They enter at the third round stage and travel to the Bourne Stadium to take on Isthmian South East side Sevenoaks Town. The Oaks are familiar rivals having met the Millers in 21 league games over 12 seasons between 2011 and 2024. The two sides also met in the group stages of the Velocity Trophy in 2019/20, the Oaks winning 1-0 at the Artic Stadium and at the start of this season in a pre-season friendly, the Millers winning 5-0.

Sevenoaks Town have progressed to the third round beating Phoenix Sports 3-0 and coming out on top at Ramsgate winning 7-6 on penalties after the tie finished 1-1 at 90 minutes. Scoring the Oaks goal that night was one of several ex-Millers in their side Ajo Majek. In the league they currently sit in 13th position on 12 points from 10 games. Top goalscorers in all compettions are Jefferson Albangbee and Warren Hughes Mfula both on eight. Rodney Eurotor is on 4.

Apart from Arthur Lee, Denzel Gayle and Tom Chambers all ruled out through medium to long term injury, Steve McKimm will have plenty to choose from and is expected to utilise those players who for whatever reason may not have started recent games. Kiki Oshilaja and Adam Coombes are both available again after their one match suspension on Saturday.
