We welcome Ashford United to the Artic Stadium for this first round Kent Senior Cup tie. The winners face a trip to Dover Athletic in the next round.

Our Opponents:
Ashford United nicknamed the Nuts & Bolts and managed by Danny Kedwell have already enjoyed success in the opening rounds of the two major cups, In the Emirates FA Cup they have beaten Egham Town 3-0, Harrow Borough 3-1 after a 1-1 draw away, Three Bridges 6-1 and Corinthian 2-0, all at home, to set up a third qualifying round tie away at Chertsey Town on Saturday. They have also progressed In the Isuzu FA Trophy with wins at Deal Town 1-0 and at home to Hartney Wintney 2-1. In the Isthmian League South East Division they are still awaiting their first win having lost two, at Sittingbourne and Ramsgate whilst drawing at Erith Town and at home to Margate. Leading the way on the top goalscorer front is Gary Lockyer with ten all but one in the two cup competitions played so far.

The Millers:
Steve McKimm will be looking to utilise his squad, so we can probably expect vital game time for one or two that may have only been on the bench recently rather than in the starting XI. With a few injuries to contend with it may also present an opportunity for a couple of new faces to be given a chance, so could prove interesting. Players always prefer playing games to training and the Kent Senior Cup along with the FA Trophy and Velocity Cup remain one of three cup opportunities for progression.
