Congratulations to Cray Valley U16 Youth Player Michael Parker who has signed for Championship side Huddersfield Town as a new academy scholar for their U17 side for season 2021/22.

Michael a centre back will officially begin his scholarship at the beginning of next season where he will feature in a bespoke games programme consisting of EFL Youth Alliance fixtures against Under-18 sides, supplemented by matches and tournaments arranged by the club.

He has been playing his football within our youth set up and of course we wish Michael all the very best as he looks to continue his development and maximise his potential.

Cray Valley (PM) have a much expanded youth set up under the leadership of Youth Development Manager Louis Dean with over 20 sides across various age groups. Whilst this season was of course curtailed, the structure is now in place and everyone is looking forward to season 2021/22.

Cray Valley (PM) are also launching an Academy for Post 16 graduates starting from September 2021. You'll be able to train every day by our UEFA qualified coaches, play in a structured league as well as representing the club in the FA Youth Club. At the Academy, you will have a clear pathway into the U23, First Team and into professional football.

In conjunction with the Academy, you'll be undertaking an Educational Programme that will enable you to obtain qualifications (BTEC and 'A" level) which would lead to University or other career opportunities.
