Farewell Kyrell

Sadly Kyrell Lisbie will not be seen in a Millers shirt next season having attracted attention higher up the football pyramid. A reward for his quality, hard work and goals last season. He has agreed to join a National League side with the two clubs coming to an agreement. It is a wonderful opportunity for Kyrell and he leaves with our best wishes and thanks.

Kyrell arrived for his first pre-season friendly at Raynes Vale Park on the last Saturday in July last year somewhat later than he wished due to an input error on his Sat Nav taking him to the wrong ground. However "the trialist" navigation on the pitch was spot on as he scored the second half equaliser ten minutes after entering the fray. The new management team were suitably impressed and to everyone's delight Kyrell later agreed to join. Kyrell was already well known to some having represented the club as a youth player.

Season proper underway and Kyrell went on to make 44 appearances scoring 29 goals (19 league and 10 cup). So many highlights in the title winning season along with record breaking FA Cup and FA Trophy runs. Who can forget the two Charlton FA Cup games, Kyrell's low drilled cross deflected in by a Charlton defender for the equaliser at the Valley. Followed by the replay at the Artic Stadium with Kyrell scoring the 44th minute equaliser from the penalty spot.

Kyrell with his pace a constant threat on the left flank found the back of the net consistently throughout the season. He scored a brace on four occasions against Enfield Town, East Grinstead Town, Erith & Belvedere and Beckenham Town .

He now faces a new challenge at a higher level and we wish him well. Good luck Kyrell, thank you for the memories.
